The 4th international open scientific and technical festival of robotics «KALASHNIKOV-TECHNOFEST»
(2 - 11 February 2024)
4th festival of robotics «Kalashnikov-Technofest».
Venues: Izhevsk, Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University, Udmurt State University and Kalashnikov Academy.
More than 400 high school and university students from 11 regions of Russia have participated in the festival, namely, from: Udmurt Republic, the city of Moscow, Moscow Region, Leningrad Region, Sverdlovsk Region, Novosibirsk Region, Tyumen Region, Republic of Marii El, Tatarstan, and Krasnodar Region.
Disciplines in which the festival was held:
POLYTECHNICAL COMPETITIONS
Participants: a team consisting of 3 persons, 7th to 11th grade students of high schools, first-year students of institutions of secondary vocational education.
The main direction of the competition:
- 3D modeling, designing and 3D printing;
- electronics, electrical engineering, soldering of radioelements;
- programming and development of algorithms.
COMPETITIONS
It is planned to hold competitions of mobile robots and pilotless aircraft assembled on the basis of well-known construction sets and or built according to original designs.
MOBILE ROBOTS
- (LL) League LEGO:Combats between mobile robots assembled of LEGO construction sets, which are controlled remotely and autonomously. The overall dimensions of the robot are no more than 250х250х250mm, and its weight is no more than 1 kg. Participants: 5th to 9th grade students of high schools and students of institutions of additional education.
- (L2) League 2: Combats between remotely and autonomously controlled mobile robots assembled of original self-engineered parts or construction sets (except for LEGO or its analogs). The overall dimensions of the robot are no more than 300х300х300mm, and its weight is no more than 2 kg. Participants: 7th to 11th grade students of high schools, institutions of additional, secondary vocational and higher education, and teams of enterprises.
- (LCR) League of Combats between Robots: elimination battles between remotely controlled mobile robots assembled of original self-engineered parts. The overall dimensions of the robot are no more than 250х250х250mm, and its weight is no more than 1.5 kg. Participants: 7th to 11th grade students of high schools, students of institutions of additional, secondary vocational and higher education, and teams of enterprises.
- (FS) Figure skating of robots: Programming of mobile robots for motions along curvilinear trajectories and for complicated maneuvers. The time and accuracy of execution of the trajectory with errors of 1mm and 0.1s, respectively, are taken as evaluation criteria. The trajectories are given in parametric or analytic form. It is allowed to use robots that meet the requirements for robots of leagues LL and L2. Participants: 5th to 11th grade students of high schools, students of institutions of additional, secondary vocational and higher education, teams of enterprises.
Unmanned aircraft
Participants: 7th to 11th grade students of high schools, students of institutions of additional education and secondary vocational education, university students, and teams of enterprises.
- (DRM) Drone racing mini: Piloting of unmanned aircraft along an air route with obstacles. The distance between the motors positioned diagonally is no more than 180 mm. The drone is controlled remotely.
- (D) Drone racing: Piloting of unmanned aircraft along an air route with obstacles. The distance between the motors positioned diagonally is 180 to 400 mm. The drone is controlled remotely.
- (FAN) Figure aerial navigation: Programming of the motion of multirotor pilotless aviation systems of helicopter type (hereinafter referred to as drones) for motion along complex trajectories. The time and accuracy of following the prescribed trajectory are taken as evaluation criteria. The maximal distance between the motors positioned diagonally is 400 mm.
PROJECTILE AIRCRAFT MODELS
The objective of participants is to prepare a projectile model (a copy/half-copy of a real-world airplane, glider etc.) and to throw it into a circle. Wing span: up to 450 mm.
Participants: 1st to 9th grade students of high schools.
