Day of engineer’s professions!

The festival "Day of Engineer’s Professions", which was held on July 13 in the biogeoecological station “FERTIKI”. This was a unique chance to see how the future engineer’s profession is applied. Various areas were presented during the festival, namely: geology, cartography, electronics, robotics, and oil industry. The festival provided the opportunity to participate in engineering assignments, and to communicate with employees, teachers, and students majoring in leading areas of the university.

Daily routine:

  • Workshop session organized by the employers
  • Quest "Professional Orienteering"

Each participant in the quest passed through 10 stations devoted to different topics:

  1. Pilotless technologies
  2. Station with robots
  3. "View from above" – cartographic station
  4. Foundations of electronics
  5. Engineering geology – prospecting drilling rigs
  6. "Attention, a hidden camera is shooting" - biomonitoring (organized by participants in the expedition for monitoring of the snow leopard population in the Altai Region)
  7. Various samples of oil and equipment. Mock-up pumpjack.
  8. Teeth on the shelf – identification of skulls
  9. "Timber resources" – station for forest management and taxation
  10. Alternative power sources, samples of oil and rocks
