International conference on Gravitation, Astrophysics and Cosmology (RusGrav-18)

From November 25 to November 29, Kazan hosted an international conference on gravitation, astrophysics and cosmology (RUSGRAV-18) in memory of Alexei Starobinsky.

The Kazan Federal University opened its doors to 150 participants, including 10 representatives from other countries.

The event featured both plenary and sectional sessions. Ivan Alekseevich Bizyaev, leading researcher at the Ural Mathematical Center, actively participated in the international conference. Based on research conducted under the state assignment of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (Project No. FEWS-2024-0007), he gave a talk titled "Classification of Geodesics in the Schwarzschild–Melvin Metric."

Following the conference, a book of abstracts was published in English.
