The conference dedicated to the memory of A.V. Borisov
From November 22 to December 3, an international conference entitled "Regular and Chaotic Dynamics" and dedicated to the memory of Alexey V. Borisov was held at the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).The co-organizers of the conference were Steklov Mathematical Institute of RAS, Steklov International Mathematical Center (SIMC), Ural Mathematical Center, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Institute of Computer Science.
Vice-president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Valery Vasilyevich Kozlov addressed a welcome speech to the conference participants. In his speech he recalled how A.V.Borisov had made his first steps in science and become a prominent scientist in the field of mechanics not only in Russia, but also abroad, and that his papers had had a high citation rate. He also mentioned the outstanding organizational abilities of A.V.Borisov, both in publishing activities and in founding and developing scientific journals.
Over 100 persons participated in the conference. More than half of them gave papers in a mixed format: part of the speakers gave their talks in person, and the other part via zoom. The talks were given by leading scientists of world renown from Russia, the USA, the UK, France, Italy, Norway, Brazil, Serbia, Poland, and other countries. Records of all talks are available on the All-Russian Mathematical Portal (mathnet.ru).
Among the conference participants were also colleagues and students of A.V.Borisov, who represented the Ural Mathematical Center (Udmurt State University) and the Institute of Computer Science.
