KALASHNIKOV-TECHNOFEST

The 3rd international open scientific and technical robotics festival “KALASHNIKOV-TECHNOFEST” will be held in Izhevsk from February 3 to February 12. The festival will be held on three sites: Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University, Kalashnikov Academy, and Udmurt State University. The festival will be supported by the Foundation of Presidential Grants and the Ural Mathematical Center.

Kalashnikov-Technofest is a cycle of educational events and competitions for high-school and university students and all those interested in robotics and related areas. The festival is aimed at a continuous professional development of students in areas ranging from widespread robotic designers to technologies for creating robotic systems for specific problems using modern manufacturing technologies, equipment and hardware components.

Over 300 high-school and university students from all over Russia will participate in the events of the festival. Among them will be students from Kabardino-Balkaria, Mariy El Republic, Mordovia, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, from the Kemerovo, Rostov, Saratov and Tomsk regions, as well as from Kazakhstan, Egypt and Haiti.

Qualifying rounds of the festival will be started on February 3 with mobile robot competitions and a polytechnical competition. The official welcome ceremony will take place on February 10 in the students’ center “Integral”. On the same day, final competitions of mobile robots and a drone racing and an awarding ceremony will take place. On February 11, a final round of the polytechnical competition will take place in the Kalashnikov Academy, followed by the ceremony of awarding the participants.
