“Come on, science!” | Evgeny Vetchanin tells about the art of computational methods

Is there any magic in physics? Of course, there is!

One feels a special pleasure when computations agree with practice. This is the opinion of Evgeny Vetchanin, Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, head of the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics at the Udmurt State University.

This scientist is involved in applying computational methods to conduct research on physical and mechanical systems ranging from the study of the motion of robots or fluids in a technical system to computation of processes of selective laser sintering of powders in developing a virtual 3D printer.

The project is being implemented with the support of a grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation as part of the federal project “Popularization of Science and Technology”.
